About Us

We're Matt's Auto Care, L.L.C., and we've been doing car repair and maintenance in Saint Joseph, MI, since 2012. We offer a wide selection of services, including complete automotive repairs on domestic and foreign vehicles. We are your source for all automotive repairs. Shocks and struts, radiators, tune-ups, tie rods, and ball joints, CV shafts, oil changes, brakes, computerized alignments and balancing, computer diagnostics, battery service, and starters are just a few of the services we provide. We can fix anything from major engine repairs to minor maintenance on your vehicle. Matt saved my car in a diagnosis situation, where my old mechanic wanted to flay me. I thought I would need to just buy a need car before coming here. My previous mechanic checked out my broken car then asked for 6k to fix it. The list of things that needed repairing looked fishy to me, so I took my car here and asked for a general diagnostic. Matt came back with 1.5k to fix it up. I budgeted him more than that to use, yet he did not use it. The repair itself is great, my car of 185k miles has been running perfectly since.

I'm so grateful Matt's had NONE of those toxic stressors. To have found a reliable, skilled, reasonably priced auto mechanic shop feels marvelous. What a relief. Thanks again, Matt's Auto Care! Now, with... 1. BOTH headlights bright and working 2. BOTH front windshield wipers now working 3. Oil changed 4. Tires rotated 5. And The "Oil Change" alert no longer popping on my vehicle's dashboard when I start it.... My vehicle is MUCH happier now!😀 Everything was reasonably priced. I got new front wiper blades (and my vehicle takes unusual blade lengths so they had to get those parts there, which they did - which was marvelous and impressive). I also needed my front right headlight bulb fixed, tire rotation, and oil change with my specific preferred synthetic oil brand of choice. Also, it was totally scam-free. Plus it was quiet and peaceful in their waiting area - even though I went for a 50 minute walk for most of the wait. They just found a loyal customer! As long as I'm local, I'm sticking with Matt's Auto Care for genuinely reliable service that is the epitome of reasonably priced!😀

It is super hard to find a reliable honest mechanic. It is even harder to find one that does things the original way, no shortcuts, no bandaid, actual mechanical work. Matt is THE GUY to go to here. My struts were done and the next day he gave my car new legs. I am always excited when I see mechanics who stick to "older" methodology that I grew up with. Great price too! If I could give 10 stars I would. Edit: 9/6/24 I was in an unprecedented rush. I asked if it was possible for them to do the oil change before 10am. I didn't expect anything as they are always packed, but I was super grateful when one of the techs took the car right away, oil change and safety inspection in record time. I don't expect this happen frequently, I am just grateful they were able to do it!
